I am Seminary ordained and perform wedding ceremonies any where in the State of Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma at the location of your choice. We also offer the ability to have a Church Wedding without all the high costs. The fee for a ceremony in K.C. is $100.00. I offer non denominational ceremonies as well more traditional ceremonies and contemporary vows and self written. I work very closely with the Bride and Groom we donate a portion of our fees to Children with Autism.
“We have an autistic child and were so moved by Rev. Buster's ability to make our son a part of this important time in our lives. Thank you, Northland Universal Church & Rev. Buster, for your help and care. Benjamin, Christopher & Salina.”

“We found Northland Universal Church via a referral and upon meeting Rev. Buster, Corrina and I were both of the same opinion that we wanted him to officiate our wedding. He was, as we were told, a very humorous guy. Please tell Rev. Buster how much we appreciate his time and concern.”

“We, like a number of others whose loved one was incarcerated, were referred to Rev. Roper and he did not hesitate to help us. He was very nonjudgemental and helpful in guiding me through the hurdles of marrying an individual who was incarcerated. November 15, 2024, was a blessed day for us. Thank you, Cheryl & James.”

“We searched for a minister that we both felt comfortable with. Rev. Buster was recommended to us by a couple who had recently used his services and found him to be down home and a man of God. We contacted Northland Universal Church and met with Pastor Buster and were so ever glad that we did. Becky and I both found him to be humorous and he made us feel as if we had known him for years. Thank you Reverend Buster.”

“Rev. Buster Roper you are truly a life saver. At the very last moment with no notice at all you came to the rescue and married me and my hubby. I am forever grateful for your excellent services provided for me and my husband at our jail ceremony. You made the impossible possible and April 2, 2024 will forever be the best day of our lives during the very difficult time we are facing right now. I am forever grateful for you. Thanks again.”

“When we first began seriously looking at a wedding date it was supposed to be 65 and sunny at the lake. Sunny, yes, but it was not 65. Sunny, yes, but a cold wind blowing off the Smithville Lake made it feel like 35. But Rev. Roper did not hesitate. He and his staff created for us some very personal vows and despite the temperature he made our day SUPERB. Thank you and God bless you.”
Tammy & John Kirkland
“These folks at Northland Universal Church were super funny and such down to earth folks. Kristian and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Rev. and your staff.”
Gerry & Kristian Wood
“How do I tell you about these great folks at Northland Universal Church? They were absolutely the best. Very down to earth type of folks. Gerry and I just knew they were the ones we wanted to do our wedding. They came out in the snow at the Platte River and braved the snow, wind, and all to help us achieve our dream of being married in a snowstorm. Thank you again, Rev. Buster and Northland Universal Church!”
Jamie & Gerry Kline
“Sam and I decided that, hey, why wait? We called Northland Universal Church and spoke with Rev. Buster. He made us feel like a member of the family. He was very warm and open to what we wanted in a ceremony. Simple, no frills, just a simple private ceremony without all the bells and whistles. Sam and I would like to say thank you to all the folks at Northland Universal Church and WedFolio for their support in helping making this all happen!”
Jerry & Samanta Goins
“Rev. Buster officiated my wedding last winter. He is very easy to work with. We met with prior to the wedding and were able to have a religious ceremony. We chose to say traditional vows but had the option to write our own if we wanted. His fees were very reasonable and straight forward. I would recommend him to anyone who is in the market for a wedding officiant.”
Dr. Taylor Oda
“Gerry with some reservation contacted Northland Universal Church upon a recommendation from friends who used them before and were very satisfied. To be honest our hesitation was that we had been quoted all these high prices that were above our budget. We thought we did not need another letdown. But not only were we very pleased with Northland's price and after talking one on one with Rev. Roper, we were sold. Thank you!”
Timothy and Geraldine
“So many pastors were hesitant about doing a ceremony due to Covid. But Rev. Roper assured us that we could have our ceremony and suggested ways to ensure the safety of everyone as much as possible. The fees were so very affordable and to top it off we later found out they donate a portion to Children with Autism, a subject close to our family.”
Gregory and Janelle Wilson

“Albert called Rev. Roper up on a referral. I must say we were very overjoyed by his open and friendly manner. He fit right in and even took the time to recognize my mother-in-law to be. She and Rev. Roper seemed so at ease talking like they had known each other for years. Rev. Roper vows for us were so right on the spot. He was funny but also very serious in his duties. Rev. Roper, thank you very much.”
Albert & Danita

“We were referred to Rev. Roper by some friends who utilized his services before and found him to be very humorous and understanding when we were running around like a bunch of chickens at the last minute. My bride and I were both totally disorganized. But Rev. Roper was very understanding and was so very humorous, taking the stress out of our mess. Thank you Rev. Roper for making our day a joyous one.”

“We had a terrific ceremony. Our choice of Rev. Buster was great. He came to the jail where my soon-to-be was incarcerated. The only down side was that Will did not get to leave with me. But thanks to words that Rev. Buster shared with us, we both pray that God will continue to lift William's footsteps and that he continues to bless us as we endeavor on this separate journey for a short time.”
Annie & William Kirk

The only down side was that Roxanne is incarcerated for about 18 months but we wanted to do this now as we both are sure this is who we want to spend the rest of our lives with. Roxanne and I both would like to recommend Rev. Roper to anyone.”
Kenny & Roxanne Kendall
“We contacted Rev. Buster on a very short notice, a matter of hours, prior to the time we wanted to be married. Not only did he agree to meet with us in Hiawatha, KS to officiate over our ceremony but we found him to be humorous and very serious in his advice to us, a young couple. We were expecting to have to pay far more than he charged. We are so grateful for his kindness and willingness to help us on such short notice.”

“We had spoken to Rev. Roper via the phone a number of times and could not make up our minds about when and where. Well when we decided on a date we informed Pastor Roper and we agreed to meet outside of St. Louis in a park we both enjoyed. As luck would have it, the rain came and Rev. Roper did not miss a beat. He had a large umbrella and opened it up to shield us and finished the ceremony without a moment's hesitation.”
John & Karina Giannola

“We contacted Rev. Roper about officiating over our wedding at a small park with a small number of folks in attendance. Bride and groom along with our mothers at an outside gazebo overlooking a lake. This was to be picture perfect but, alas, Mother Nature had other ideas. It went to raining -- not a washout -- but a slow drizzle and the gazebo was some distance in the park. Rev. Buster just grinned and took it all in stride. This simple gesture on his part was so kind. Thank you, Rev. Buster.”
Greg and Lisa McDonald
“We contacted Rev. Roper about officiating our wedding in our home due to Covid 19. He came to our home and spoke with us and proceeded to complete the ceremony we were wanting with just a few friends. He was very pleasant and spoke with the children who were there. Upon completion of the ceremony, Rev. Buster was kind enough to share in a meal of simple fare with our family and guests. Great job, sir and thank you again.”

“Tammy and I wanted to get married but it just seemed that one thing or another got in our way. Illnesses in the family, loss of job due to Covid 19. Then we were referred to Rev. His wife created our vows for us at no additional cost. Everything went perfectly. Thank you, Rev. Roper.”

“We had contacted Rev. Roper about our desire to get married and due this pandemic, Rev. helped by agreeing to come to our home. When he learned of financial difficulties he gave us a big break on his normal fee. He was very understanding of the fact that we had Spanish speaking interpreters there to translate English to Spanish and vice versa. Thank you!”
Jose & Malissa

Robert & Amanda Kety

The vows that were created for us were so special that Sherie asked if we could have the vows as a keepsake. Rev. Roper, thank you for your kindness and more importantly a beautiful ceremony.”
David & Sherie Easton
“We never met Rev. Roper before our wedding. My now husband is incarcerated, and we were married at the prison. His ceremony & words were beautiful & made us feel as if we were being married in an intimate setting of our choice. The vows he had us repeat even offered a more personal feel to the ceremony. He read a beautiful prayer and turned what most would view as a basic, simple, unromantic ceremony into an amazing, beautiful, & unforgetable one that we'll cherish always.”
Amy & Dan

Charles & Lindsey Long
“We found Northland Church and Rev. Buster to be genuine people who were more concerned that we got the wedding ceremony we wanted rather than making money. Their prices were so very affordable. Victoria and I have already recommended them to friends who are looking to be married before Christmas and we know that two of our friends have already contacted them about their upcoming wedding next month. Vic and I wish to say thank you for everything.”

Roper helped us calm down and assure us he would give us all the help we needed. The vows that were created for us were superb. His wife took our ideals and created a beautiful set of vows for us. We are certainly glad that we contacted Rev. Roper from start to finish. He was super.”

“We felt that we were truly blessed with your hands on attention to helping us with our vows and the selection of the site for our ceremony. We had spoken to you over a year ago about the possibility of us getting married and you told us not to rush into a marriage as it should be a lifetime commitment. Thank you so much. James and I will keep in touch.”
Leah & James
“We had contacted Rev. Roper over a year ago and at the last minute we decided that we really needed to not rush into a marriage that we were not sure about. Rev. Roper counseled us about that very thing. Then a year or so later we dated and talked and came back to Rev. Roper and asked if he would do us the honor. He said yes. The entire ceremony was great, including the special vows that were created for us. Thank you for everything.”
Loretta and James
“We didn't know what we wanted in a wedding ceremony. But upon meeting with Rev. Roper and talking with him we worked out just what we wanted. Roper, we appreciated your humor and the time you spent with John and I to help us have a wonderful ceremony. God bless.”
Tanya & John
“Rev. Buster Roper delivered a beautiful wedding service that was exactly what we asked for — short and sweet — yet included all the requested elements (a specific Bible verse, the symbolism of the rings, etc). I really enjoyed his delivery! I would definitely recommend Rev. Roper if you are looking for a customized, sweet service!”
Amy and Joe Bragg
“Let us first say thank you to Rev. Roper's wife who created our vows for us. Rev. Roper spent a couple hours out in the hot sun yesterday due to timing on our part. But I assure you our wedding was absolutely a stunning success. Rev. Roper suggested we all sit together as a family rather than on different sides. The women all agreed with with his comment to the married women that if mama is not happy, no one in the house will be happy.”
James & Erica Fisher
“Teresa and I found the folks at North Land Universal Church to be very open, warm and genuinely interested in hearing our desire as to how we wanted our vows and yet at the same time keep it short during this heat. They were very accommodating and fun. Pastor Buster was a just absolute delight to talk with and gain some insight as to how God has given him the talents to deal well with others. Teresa and I would thank Pastor Buster and his wonderful wife for making our day complete.”
Charles & Teresa Higgins
“We found the folks the folks at North Land Universal Church very warm, outgoing and humorous. Rev. Buster and his wife helped us decide what we wanted and how best to proceed after our original ideas. Buster, and your lovely wife for helping us achieve our dream wedding and still be within our budget.”
Timothy & Demetrius
“Rev. Roper, thank you so much for a terrific ceremony today. Leslie and I were very pleased with your outgoing demeanor in helping a couple who just wanted to get married. A great big thank you and Leslie said a great big hug as well.”

“We were excited about that we were getting married after waiting for so long as to be sure. Henrietta was so happy she told Pastor Buster the good news and he told us congratulations. We noticed that he had a 10 commandment lapel pin on. We asked if he did weddings and he said "yes" he did. Before I could say anything Henrietta just said would you marry us? He said I am not a Catholic priest but would happy to. Great job for us.”
Juan & Henrietta Lopez

“Thank you to you and your church for making us feel at ease and so helpful in putting our wedding together. The vows that you had crafted for our wedding were so in touch with the type of people we. Again thank you for your time and the effort that went into our ceremony. Loretta and I had one request and that was to have Corinthians 13 as a part of our ceremony. This you placed in just so ever the right place about our love for each other.”
Daniel and Loretta

Upon meeting with you for lunch we both agreed that we wanted you to do the honors. We particularly enjoyed the passage from 1st Corinthians 13 that you spoke to us about. Thank you, Rev. Roper.”
Kevin & Lisa Singleton
“Amanda and I would like to say thank you to Rev. Roper and his wonderful wife who made our wedding a success. We kept changing things, times, dates. Roper for coming through for Teresa and myself. We were extremely pleased and will share your name and number.”

“We were so extremely pleased with the services provided by Rev. Roper it seemed that there was one after another hurdle standing in the way of our wedding due to the fact that Donald is currently incarcerated. Another couple who had used his services and said that Rev. Roper would stay the course and help you succeed. The DOC transferred Don several times, thus with their policy we had to start the whole thing over. Special thanks, Rev. Roper!”
Donald & Lesslie Clark
“Rev. Roper, we had contacted you about our desire to be married last night in the storm with the rain and all. Not only did you come out in the storm but you did a fantastic job. Ana and I were very pleased and wanted to say thank you for helping turn our dream into a reality.”
Raul & Ana Martinez
“Recently we contacted Rev. Roper about officiating at our wedding we had decided to have our wedding ceremony at the site of the covered bridge near Platte City. With a short discussion with Rev. Roper we were all set and agreed on a time and that he would create a set of vows for us. How the best laid plans of mice and men can go astray, we -- well, actually I -- forgot our license. But Rev. Roper took it all in stride and waited with no extra charge while I had someone get it. Great job sir.”
Robert & Joanne Strong
“Pastor Buster, rain thunder and lighting did not deter you from our wedding at 8:30 in Happy Rock Park in Gladstone. We felt that with the storms brewing around us it would be neat to have that as a back drop for our wedding. We called Pastor Buster after seeking several others and they said that they were not interested in performing a wedding in this kind of weather. We would both like to say God Bless Pastor for a great ceremony along with the nice gift that you gave us.”
Adam & Jennie Clark
“Rev. Roper was so helpful in all aspects leading up to our ceremony and the day of. We thought as if he had nothing on his schedule but ours and even though we wanted some extra details he never once faltered nor let on that all the changes were a bother. Thank you.”
John and Samatha
“I live in L.A. and met my fiancee on a business trip to Missouri and after proposing to her we set a date and looked on WedFolio for some officiants in MO. We received a call from Rev. Roper. He was very helpful in helping with the arrangements and so forth what with my schedule and distance. Anesia wanted to be married where she has relatives in Chillicothe. Great service and very easy to work with. Price was very affordable. Thank you, Rev. Roper.”
Michael & Anesia Smith
“We had previously contacted Rev. Roper about a year ago to officiate at our wedding but due various issues we decided to wait. When we decided to finally take that big step we called Rev. Roper. He was very gracious and understanding of the fact we felt we were not ready to make such a serious commitment. He agreed to officiate over our ceremony. Both Diane and I were absolutely thrilled with the words he spoke on our behalf and the wedding vows that he had created for us. Thank you.”
Gregory & Dianne Thompson
“We had planned on being married next week and then decided on a whim "hey, let's do it today" (4th of July). We called Rev. Roper and he said he was on his way back from officiating a wedding and that, yes, he would be honored to officiate our wedding. Rain and all, Rev. Buster showed up and did the honors for us. GREAT JOB! Very pleasant.”
James & Lindsey Overton
“Roberta and I had planned on being married at a bluegrass festival at Sally Mountain where we would have the music from the festival in the background. But to our dismay the minister who was to do the honors was involved in an accident. Thus my father spoke up and said that he had run into Buster Roper, the host of a radio show and knew that he was a minister as well. He would endeavor to find him. Dad was successful in locating him he agreed to do the honors. Thank you, Rev. Roper!”
David & Roberta Young
“Rev. Buster, thank you for coming out on Father's Day to perform our wedding ceremony. It turned out to be a nice day for a wedding. Roberta and I so wanted to do it today as a gift for me from her and a child we have on the way. We were very pleased with your words of advice and for the price for a holiday. Thank you.”
Michael & Roberta Hashton
“Pastor Roper, thank you for meeting with us last week on such a short notice. We had secured our marriage license and just wanted to get legally married with a very short and simple ceremony. You agreed to meet with us and in about an hour, we exchanged our vows and had two witnesses sign for us. We're so grateful.”
James & Linda King
“Pastor Roper, we contacted you as we were in a pinch. Wedding plans were made and caterer set. Needless to say you came through for us in a big way. The fact that the previous minister doubled booked on us was not bad enough, we were left in a dilemma. But once we contacted you it was like superman in a single bound. Our wedding ceremony was tremendous and the words of advice you gave us rang so true. Sir please accept Tammy & my thanks for a great job.”
Robert & Tammy Higgins
“We felt that Pastor Buster was very warm and hands on offering suggestions. He seemed to be like an old friend wanting to help us achieve the wedding ceremony we so wanted. He offered suggestions so as to better give us ideals of how we wanted to proceed. We would recommend Rev. Roper to anyone not only for his humor but he showed us that we could have a super nice ceremony without paying a high price for a minister.”
Ronald & Tabatha King
“Rev. Roper, thank you so very much for the extra time and effort that went into making our wedding day as happy as could be under the circumstances. The extra time and effort you spent on helping was so appreciated. We were both incarcerated in separate correctional centers. After our in laws had picked the marriage license up too early and it expired prior to the date set by our respective institutions. You stepped up and worked it out for us.”
Donald & Melissa Via
“We contacted you about 4 months prior to our wedding date. We had been referred to you by Scott & Emily Shannon. They had you officiate over their wedding late last fall and found you to be very warm and understanding. Katrina & I found you to be all of that and your fee was so affordable. Rev. Roper, we wish to again say thank you for helping us have the ceremony we so wanted.”
Robert & Katrina Wall
“What can we say that others have not but to again, add our thanks to the host of others. We were very happy with the way our ceremony turned out even with the damp weather. Pastor, not only were you very warm and humorous, but genuinely cared about us as we enter a new life together, where we will look at life as a couple not a single person. Thank you for the vows that were created for us.Tina and I would like to say thank you again and we will keep in touch.”
Darnell & Tina Holt
“Rev. Roper, we would like to take this moment to thank you and your wonderful staff for making our wedding ceremony such a wonderful experience and joyous occasion. Malissa and I thought it was so kind of you to inquire about the pictures we had placed on seats on the front row. They were pictures of my deceased father and of Malissa's father as well. The comments you made were very considerate. Then just prior to the ceremony we included a sand ceremony and you took that in stride. Thank you!”
Lucas & Malissa Darnell IV
“Melissa and I would like to say thank you, Rev. Roper, for getting up in such wee hours of the morning on a cold 22 degrees out, not counting the wind chill (brrrr). Melissa and I had picked this day in commemoration of her mother's death. Sunrise was always her mom's favorite time of the day, and Rev. Buster, Sir you braved the cold with us and our wedding party to do what we all felt was a great job. The words of how it was God who created marriage were so meaningful. Thank you.”
Nathan & Melissa
“Pastor Roper, you are a hoot, funny and very attentive to what Chancy and I were looking for in a minister. We are so grateful for all your time and attention to our ceremony. The snow we had today did not detour you at all. You were there for us and even though it was cold and snowy out, you were there with us cold and all. Please keep us in your prayers as we start our new life as a couple.”
Charles & Chancy Markston
“Rev. Roper, Charles and I are grateful for the vows your staff created for us. We were very pleased with our entire ceremony. You were a delight to work with and your attention to what we wanted was quite evident in the ceremony. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your service and a JOB WELL DONE.”
Lisa & Charles Copeland
“Rev. Roper, thank you for the tremendous job you did for our wedding renewal ceremony. Kathryn and I came to you with an issue. What with all the anti Muslim bigotry going on, we were concerned about our ability to locate a minister to join us in holy wedlock. After a lot of soul searching and late night discussion, we felt we were going to ask you to officiate over wedding. Rev. Roper, you showed us the true meaning of faith.”
Nizebub & Kathryn
“Rev. Roper, Vanita and I wish to say thank you for the wonderful ceremony that you and your staff put together for our wedding. Everyone in both families commented about how attentive you were to our requests as to what we were wanting in a ceremony. We definitely feel grateful for you and your staff. The 2 gold coins you gave us were quite a surprise with the picture of Christ on one side and the last supper on the other side.”
James & Vanita Carry
“Pastor Roper, after some homework and after talking to several other Ministers, Belinda and our 3 children felt you were who we wanted. We found Rev. Roper very warm and a person who is not a just a wedding officiant, but to him he considers each wedding to be something special. That it is important to us and our loved ones. We put a lot of thought and prayer into our decision as to whom we were going to choose to officiate over our wedding.”
Robert & Belinda Sparks
“Pastor, thank you so much for the ceremony that you put together for Kathy and I. The words of the ceremony were so much Kathy and I and we felt very aptly conveyed to our guests the way we so felt about each other and our utmost desire was make our marriage a home united with God. Pastor, again Kathy and I wish to say thank you for your service. We found your price to be well within what our budget called for.”
Alexander & Kathy Cross
“Well you used to say neither rain, sleet or snow will stop the mailman but in this case it did stop our Pastor. We had people that were coming to see us get married and when we got up it was foggy but to make matters worse the fog was a freezing fog. But we were bound and determined to be married that day. We called Rev. Roper and he said if we wanted to go through with it then he would be there. The ceremony was so sincere even with the weather.”
Margaret & Jeremy Clark
“Pastor Roper was so neat to work with and funny. His little comments were humorous but, at the same time had an underlying message. That marriage was not a 50/50 but a work of love and mutual respect on both sides. That in marriage there is a lot of give and take on both sides. Never let a argument go unsettled before bed time, there is no argument worth the marriage of two people who truly love one another. Christi and I would highly recommend him.”
Harvey & Christi L.
“We first contacted Rev. Roper some 6 months prior and had discussed with him our desire to get married. After talking with us he cautioned against it at the time. We had issues with which we needed to work out before rushing into a marriage, which was by our own administration a truly memorial event. We got professional counseling and then we called Rev. Roper up and asked if he would meet with us again? We are now one. Thanks Rev. Roper.”
John & Maryanne Wright
“We wish to say thank you to Rev. Roper and his staff for the tremendous job they did for our wedding under other than romantic circumstances. Larry is incarcerated and although we did not have a typical wedding, we did have a meaningful ceremony. The vows that they created for us were just so neat. Rev. Roper told us that upon Larry's release that he would help us redo our wedding in a church where all of our families can be there.”
Larry & Penny Sharpton
“Well... Where do I start? I have known Reverend Roper and his wonderful wife for 16 years. They are truly wonderful people and 'unofficial' members of the family! When I got in touch with Buster about this very important day, he and his wife sat down with my wife and I and made sure everything went as planned perfectly down to the last details! The wedding ceremony was full of laughter and love. You will never find a better officiant than Reverend Roper... trust me!”
Alex Bragg
“Thank you Rev. Roper and all your staff for a wonderful ceremony at our wedding renewal ceremony. The words were perfect and the humor you added, with a few inside tidbits from friends, brought back fond memories. But Mary & I wanted again to say thank you for your great service and wonderful humor.”
James & Mary King
“Chaplain Roper, we wish to say thank you for your extra time and effort in making our wedding a day to remember. The vows that were created for us were so unique and so what we wanted to convey to our family and guests. Margaret and I hope that you will come visit sometime after our honeymoon. God Bless!”
Robert & Margaret Reznik
“Thank you, Rev. Roper, for your assistance in making our dream come through although my fiance is incarcerated. I was amazed at the time and effort it required on your part to make this a reality. We have you to thank for your time and effort which is not much for your effort and kindness.”
Arvil & Arliss Owen
“Funny and serious would be a great way to describe Rev. Buster. He was very serious when he should be, but at other times he was humorous and what Marissa and I found humorous with all the little reminders of my past jokes. We had over 150 guests and family and all came away with the same conclusion. His service was outstanding and he truly cared about us as a couple.”
John & Marissa Bowen
“We called Rev. Roper at the urging of friends during the sudden loss of our beloved daughter. We have been without a Church home but when our daughter was suddenly taken from us we were in grief and sorrow. She so loved the rain and when we called Rev. Roper he did not hesitate but agreed to preside over the rainy service of our baby Angela. He came and was genuine. We were so grateful for his kindness and care and concern.”
Dan & Marsha Whaley
“Pastor Buster, we called you like WOW at 10:00 o'clock at night and said, "hey we want to get married tonight." I realize we might have been a little overly excited but we thought, why wait? We called you, and within the hour you had arranged for us be able to get married in a church setting, all with no extra cost. Teresa & I thank you so much for your help at such a late hour. We both forgot what we were repeating after you, but you went right along as if it was planned that way. We love you, Pastor B.”
John & Teresa King
“Rev. Roper, we realize that a few words here may not mean much. But throughout this entire process of dealing with red tape never did you falter. You told us I am here, no more than a phone call away. I never dreamed I would be saying my wedding vows in the visiting room of a Correctional Center, but it did and we are both truly grateful for the time you spent with us making this possible. The ceremony was fantastic and we are so ever grateful.”
Alexanander & Courtney King
“Wow! What a character Pastor Buster is - so funny at times with his down home humor and and such a laid back individual. We had a terrible time trying to select who we wanted to officiate over our ceremony. We wanted someone who would see us as a couple not a $ figure. He was so hands on, and may we toot your horn a little, Pastor Buster? You won the heart of our child who is severely handicapped. To you she was just as important as the ceremony and you made her feel important.”
Larry & Mary Ann Shenandoah
“Pastor Roper, thank you so much for enduring the heat with us to make our wedding a success. Amanda and I can never say thank you enough for the extra time and effort you put into our wedding. Sir, the counseling sessions we had, from our perspective, were full of great advice and direct about communication. This was a thing where a lot marriages fail. You told us that commutation is a very important tool in any marriage. Sir, again please accept our thanks.”
Charles & Amanda Trainer
“Pastor Roper, thank you for the extra time and effort that went into marrying me and my fiance, who is presently incarcerated. We had spoken with a number of others who refused, and quite frankly, we were surprised at their attitude towards the whole marriage what with her being incarcerated. I thought that ministers were not to judge, but as you pointed out, God gave all of us a mind and we are to use it. We are not to sit in judgement of them. But we so wanted to say thank you for a great job.”
Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Fortner III
“Rev. Roper thank you for uniting myself and Margaret in marriage. I realize that a prison visiting room is not your typical vision of a place to be married, but Margaret had got mixed up with some people she should not have. We had discussed the issue of marriage and the obstacles it posed but felt that our love and commitment was strong enough to handle this hurdle. We had been turned down by others but you were for us with out judgement.”
James & Margaret Long
“Pastor Roper, Lindsey and I would like to say thank you for the wonderful ceremony that you put together for us under some very difficult times. The time and effort you spent on our ceremony can only be addressed with a thank you and with Lindsey's and my appreciation and gratitude, We felt we were led to you as the person who would work with us and that our ceremony would be a success. Thank you.”
Robert & Lindsey Fortner
“We wish to say thank you to the entire staff of the Northland Universal Church. We felt that we were their only concern during the planing of our wedding. The special vows that were created for us were marvelous so to the way we felt could put it into words. Margaret and I are so thankful for the time you spent with us.”
James & Margaret Shipply
“Rev. Roper, we wish to say thank you for the terrific ceremony on Saturday. The vows that you created for us were very warm and full of the intent that Holly and I had in our hearts and you found a way to put it all into words. Holly's sister said that she will be contacting you to ask that you officiate over her wedding as well. Rev, we feel that in you we not only found the very one to officiate our wedding, but a friend and someone we can call upon.”
SGT. Robert Boyd & Holly
“How can we thank you for getting up and being there to officiate over our wedding at midnight? We both wanted to ring in the 4th of July with a bang! Rev. Buster was as humorous as he is at any other time. Again, wanted to say thank you and ask that you keep us in your prayers as we start a new life together.”
David & April Morales
“What can we say? Rev. Roper did an excellent job for our ceremony. It was just perfect as well as the vows they created for us. His attention and country humor was a plus. He's a funny person but at the same time is a very dedicated individual when it comes to the wedding ceremony We would not hesitate to recommend him to others and in fact, we have. Friends of ours have contacted him about officiating over their wedding this fall.”
James & Cindy Bowen
“Pastor, Thank you so much for your time, at a time that was sad as well as joyful. You had just officiated over our wedding when we got word that her parents had been killed in a car wreck on their way back home. We called you, as you were still in our thoughts for the terrific ceremony and warmth. To come and prepare a service for Cinthia's parents, which you did, shows the caring individual you are.”
Randy & Cinthia
“Rev. Roper, thank you for all the help with our wedding. The vows were perfect and what with the rain we made it. The evening was rainy but with forethought you had picked a spot so with the drizzle and all we had our ceremony outside. To our surprise and great delight you had arranged for us to have our ceremony under an old covered bridge. Thank you again for all you did for us.”
Demarco & Janelle
“Mr. Roper did a wonderful job! Thank you!”
Jeremy & Shannon Smith
“Rev. Buster, how can we ever say thank you enough for the wonderful words of encouragement that you gave us? We felt that the vows that you created for us were superb and the genuine heartfelt way you conducted the entire ceremony was just the best. Early on a May day when the temperature was barely in the 40's and the wind was blowing, but you gave us the exact type of ceremony we wanted. Again, Rev, thank you.”
April & James Hailes
“Rain was no deterrent for Pastor Buster. We had been waiting for a night like last night and Pastor Buster came through for us without a hitch. We knew when we planned our wedding that we wanted it on a rainy and stormy night as we are both avid amateur storm chasers. We really wish to say thank you, Pastor Buster, for a great ceremony and humoring us in our wish to be married on a stormy evening and night.”
Pat & George Thompson
“Rev. Buster, thank you so much for the extra time at no cost to help us have a wonderful and such a tremendous ceremony. The vows were so meaningful and the care that you showed and concern for us and was ever so supportive. We shall be so ever-grateful and we will endeavor to keep in touch with you to let you know how we are. But as with everyone's busy life we all seem to neglect to keep touch with friends and family. God Bless.”
John & April King
“Rev. Roper, although James is not able to speak himself, as you know his last wish was for us to be married, as were our plans before his terrible accident. We reached out to you about coming to the hospital and performing our wedding at the hospital. I had called a number of other ministers and they felt we should wait until James was better as they felt due to the seriousness of his accident it would be better. God Bless.”
James and Mary Wright
“Rev. Roper, you married me and Becky on 3/24. I just wanted to say thank you so much. Me and my wife have been praying for someone to marry us and God answered our prayers by sending us to you. If it is okay with you, we will keep writing and send you family pictures. Since you helped us, we now feel like you are a part of our family. Thank you!”
Nathan & Becky Hutchison
“We contacted The Northland Universal Church as we wanted to be wed at midnight in an outdoor wedding, and nights can be cold after sunset. But Rev. Buster came through for us and we were extremely pleased. He was funny, charming and did not get perplexed when we kept messing up on our vows. We felt this was our wedding, so why not have it the way we wanted? Tremendous job on the vows and the entire ceremony. Thank you!”
Marsha & James Williams
“We wanted to leave few words of appreciation for Northland Universal Church and Rev. Roper on a damp dreary evening it has been for most of the evening. Rev. Roper and his staff helped us with our wedding and were always cheerful and upbeat even with the weather. Thank you all for a wonderful ceremony and all the work you put into it for us.”
Lexis & Charles
“We would like to say thank you to Rev. Buster and all of his staff for a wonderful ceremony. The ceremony and vows were just as we had wanted. Not only was Rev. Buster very helpful but he was very humorous and so understanding of the issues facing us what with the handicap of my wife. Finding the perfect spot and making it seem so very cozy, we could have not found anyone more suited to our needs. Thank you again, Rev. Buster.”
Jeremy & Arliss King
“Rev. Roper, we do not have the words to express our heart felt gratitude for the time and extra effort and time that you spent helping us get married. The extra mile would so aptly fit you if one was measuring someone's effort and time that you spent what with the extra hurdles we had to go through. But at no time did you waver or hesitate when a new one popped up. It just seemed as if you tried so much harder.”
James & Margaret Dean
“Pastor, what a glorious day we had even though it was cold and they were calling for more snow. That did not happen and David and I were able to finally be wed after many set backs. We were both so thrilled with the warmth and friendship you showed us. We were told of the great job that you did for Millicent & Charles. They were correct that we would be delighted with your services.”
Suzanne & David G.
“Pastor Buster, Robert and I want say thank you for the moving and sweet ceremony you put together for our wedding today. It was cold, windy and of course the snow. We were very pleased with the entire ceremony and of course you probably thought we were crazy being wed in a full length bridal gown and Robert in tux with no coats. We both love the cold and you were so kind as to agree to officiate the ceremony for us cold and snowy as it was out.”
Melissa King
“What a night for a wedding New Years Eve. We called Rev. Buster after a last minute decision that Becky and I wanted to be married on New Years eve. Not only was Rev. Buster up for the cold task at hand, but was very warm friendly and a delight to have officiate over our wedding. We would like to say thank you so very much for making the star of our New Year so special and I will keep in mind what you said that "if Mama is not happy, then no one will be.".”
Robert & Rebecca Minor
“We contacted The Church blind, not knowing anything about them. WOW!!! We were very pleased with the manner and time they took in answering our questions -- never tiring of answering our questions. We knew basically what we wanted but were not sure how to make it work so as not to be a big mess. Rev. Roper assisted us along with calling in help from a wedding planner that he had worked with. We had a great -- even if we say so -- and beautiful ceremony.”
James & Celeste Kepplin
“Thank you Rev. Roper for the great job you did on our ceremony. The vows that you created for our wedding were absolutely right on. Both sides of our family said that they felt as if you were an old friend of the family due to the fact that everyone felt so at ease with you and your humor. Tosh and I will be sure to try and remember to call you after our our first year to let you know how we are doing.”
Phillip & Tosha B.
“Thank you, Rev. Buster, for the time that you spent helping us in our difficult situation when wanted to get married. During the entire process with all the red tape and paper work you were there to offer encouragement and assist us in any way that you could. The fact that were incarcerated at the time never created an issue for you. I ham having my Mother write this for me as we are both still incarcerated and will for a time to come. Please again accept our thanks.”
James and Amanda King
“Rev. Buster was great. He made the ceremony a comfortable and fun event. Thank you for doing the ceremony for us!”
Rhonda and Tony Bunch
“We were so impressed with the warmth and just downright old friend manner that Rev. Buster brings forth. He is a very charming and folksy type of person who is not just a wedding officiant, but a genuine humorous and funny guy. We were at a wedding in Kansas at the YMCA camp of friends and after the ceremony we asked Rev. Buster to officiate at our wedding. He is full of surprises and is warm and caring.”
Bobby & Larquette
“A huge 'Thank You' to Rev. Buster Roper for officiating my marriage. He is a very warm and pleasant person, seeming almost like family rather than an 'event minister'. He is a Godsend, as my pastor is very busy and could not drive to the wedding venue. It is a privilege to meet and get to know Rev. Roper, he is a blessing!”
Stephanie Sirois
“We contacted Rev. Roper on short notice as we had decided that we wanted to get married and as it was late in the day. We were not sure if we would be able to find an officiant that would perform our ceremony at 11:00 o'clock at night. We realized that this was a little unusual but we thought hey, what can it hurt? When we contacted Rev. Roper he was pleasant and made us feel that our request was not out of line. We would like to say thank you.”
James & Brandy Reardon
“Great job, very hands on, so kind and so very caring about our ceremony. Pastor Roper kept in touch with us throughout the entire planning and the vows he created for us were so special and to the point of what we both wanted our families and friends to know how we felt He had to travel a considerable distance and his fee was so modest for the time and effort he spent with us preparing our Wedding.”
Charles & Tiffany Williams
“Reverend Buster was fantastic! We set out to find an inexpensive officiant who could give us an insightful ceremony that was also fun and light. He did it! His pricing was great and he drove quite a distance to our wedding in Stilwell. We received so many comments on the ceremony, it was to the point while also being sweet and thoughtful. We all loved the laughs! Thank you!”
Rich and Danielle
“When we were looking for someone to officiate at our wedding ceremony, we did not want someone who was stuck on the old traditional way a wedding ceremony should be done, but someone who was a bit unorthodox who did not really feel that a wedding had to be in a manner other than what we wanted. In that we wanted to share our love and hope for the future as a couple and wanted someone who was not stuck on traditional, in Rev. Roper we found what we wanted. Thank you for a great job.”
Brittany & James Black
“WOW! What can we say but thank you, Pastor Buster. Our wedding ceremony was so as we had hoped for it to be. Not only the uniquely crafted vows just for us, but the entire ceremony was picture perfect. Our families and guests all commented about how congenial you were and that that found you both humorous and very serious about marriage and the sage advice about not keeping score and that no dispute was so big that if we truly loved each other that we could resolve the issue. Thanks.”
Abigail & Nathan Hutchinson
“When one sits out to choose a Wedding Officiate to preside over your wedding one seeks to look at reviews from others. We found this very informative when selecting Rev. Roper. Not only did he meet all our expectations and come through for us with a ceremony that our friends and relatives all agreed was very well done, but he was a very concerned Minister who so wanted our wedding to be as perfect as possible. He did that and was so understanding.”
Mrs. Alexandder Hamilton
“Thank you Rev. Roper, for making our day so complete. The ceremony was so simple and yet very touching as we had expressed our desire for a simple ceremony. We were made to feel so at ease with your humor and concern for what we wanted. The guests that we had invited told us afterwards that they so felt that you had known us forever and that your humor and comments to us both as a couple and individually were so right on the money when it comes to the keys to a happy and long marriage. God Bless.”
Rebecca & James Tyrell
“I can only say thank you, Rev. Buster, for the time and extra effort you went to in order for Michael and I to get married. I know that most people frown upon the fact that we are incarcerated and should not be allowed to get married. But Rev. Buster, never did you shy away from the time and effort it went into making our day such a joyous occasion. We had reached out to several ministers and were turned down. But when we called you, you not only agreed to officiate, but did an excellent job.”
Michael & Glenda
“Rev. Buster came highly recommended to Brandy and I called him at her request. I drive over the road so it is hard for me to schedule a meeting with someone. When I spoke to Buster he made me feel at ease and agreed to meet me in Columbia to discuss our marriage. He knew that I was only going to be in Columbia overnight he and Brandy drove up. We discussed what we were looking for and he came through for us. Great job! Thank you!”
James & Brandy Reardon
“Rev. Buster is a friend of ours and was excited to hear we were getting married. We wanted our wedding to be meaningful and personal for not only us but our friends and family also. Buster's love for people and families was evident in our wedding ceremony and we are so pleased with how our special day was and how it touched so many lives. Thank you for a wonderful ceremony, Buster!”
Kevin & Christine Verschelden
“Rev. Buster, where do we start? You were awesome, heat and all! The ceremony was a huge success. All of our family members told us that they felt that you had done an outstanding job. We were very pleased with the custom made vows for us. Thank you again for being there and guiding us through the rehearsal and all the preparation for our ceremony. We will endeavor to keep in touch as we promised. God Bless.”
Amanda & Wayne Johnson
“We had a wonderful experience working with Reverand Roper. He is truly a joy to be around and is exactly the kind of person you will want by your side on your wedding day. He made wedding planning simple by meeting with us several times and walking us through all of the details. His wife even wrote our vows for us at no additional charge.”
Tammy & Charles King
“We had talked to a number of Ministers about our wedding and Rev. Roper's name kept popping up in our planning for the happiest day of our young lives. We called Rev. Roper up again and asked if he would still be willing to officiate at our wedding? He said that he would be honored to and so we agreed to meet and we found him witty and very caring about helping us prepare for our wedding and helping us prepare. God Bless.”
Carissa & James Marsh
“Shout it out and let it be known that if it was not for the time and extra effort Pastor Buster put into helping us with our wedding, we would have probably given up. We had things all turned around and stuff such as the place for the wedding we had talked about really and here we were 3 days out and OPPS! But Pastor Buster came through and all worked out great. The ceremony was terrific. He is one of those people who comes across as caring.”
Holly and Chad Brown
“We found Rev. Buster to be both very warm and easy to work with in preparing for marriage. We were both nervous and he just made us feel so at ease with his humor, when it was needed, and his detail in assisting us in the preparation for our wedding. We are both so thrilled that God brought Rev. Buster into our lives. He has such a caring way about him and is so genuine in all that he does. Thank you so very much, Rev. Buster.”
Richard & Lisa Buckner
“We felt as if we had known Pastor Buster all of our lives. He was funny and very warm and ever so helpful in helping us decide on our vows to each other. The outdoor ceremony though was wet due to the rain he had coordinated with a company to set up tents. We had a blast and felt that the ceremony was a huge success what with the rain and all. Thank you, Pastor Buster, for a job well done. Sorry it took us so long in getting this posted.”
Kristine & Brad King
“We contacted Rev. Roper at the Northland Universal Church as he had been recommended to us, and what a pleasant surprise. He was as every bit as humorous as we had been told but very caring and really appreciative of what we wanted in our ceremony. Agreeing to our choice, he made us feel as if we were what was important to him and that he would do his best to ensure that our ceremony was as we wanted.”
John & Richelle Carson
“Tremendous ceremony. We found Rev. Roper to be both very congenial as well as professional in the officiating of our ceremony. He was very hands on, which my wife thoroughly enjoyed and found to be very reassuring and understanding in to how she wanted in our ceremony. Thank you, Rev. Roper for a job well done as promised. We will keep in touch. God Bless.”
Charles & Catherine Williams
“We were very pleased with the ceremony that Rev. Roper put together for us in spite of the periods of rain. We found him to as delightful and easy to work with as others had said. Even at the very last minute Allen got nervous and was completely speechless. Rev. Roper made it all seem like just a rehearsed part of the ceremony. Thank you so very much Rev. Roper for a great job and so many pleasant memories.”
Mary & Allen King
“We were both very pleased with the ceremony Rev. Buster put together for us and the church was so neat. We were told it's the oldest church in Platte County. We had discussed our wedding with several ministers and at the last minute we were referred to Rev. Buster by some friends who had been at a wedding that he officiated at. Their assessment of him was right and he was very congenial and so much fun. Thank you, Rev. Buster.”
Michael & Michelle Williams
“Pastor Buster, thank you so very much for manner in which you put our vows together and the manner in which our ceremony went. We certainly appreciated the time that you took to remember our parents who could not be with us. We, as you know, were recommended to us by the King family we found you to as humorous and easy to work with in preparing for our wedding. The location of the old covered bridge was so neat and so charming and peaceful.”
Charlotte and John Sloan
“We found Rev. Roper to be both congenial and very attentive to the way we wanted our wedding ceremony. We wanted an outdoor type setting with a backdrop of an old covered bridge. He knew of one in the K. C. area and secured permission for our use as a backdrop to our photos and so forth. His entire demeanor was so very pleasant and he was so easy to communicate with, we felt as if we were old friends. Thank you so much!”
Melissa and Charles Long
“Pastor Buster, thank you for the terrific ceremony and for making us feel so at ease. The entire ceremony was so very down to earth and the quaint location with the covered bridge was so picturesque. We were confident after meeting you that our ceremony would be so perfect. Thank you again Pastor Buster and God Bless.”
Tabatha & Kenny Cunningham
“We would like to say thank you so much for all the time and effort that he put into our ceremony. We did not want anything outlandish or elegant, but a rather simple ceremony with a few friends and family. Rev. Roper did just that with some humor, which everyone enjoyed even to where I for got my vows, he so quietly reminded me all the time making it seem as this was a part of the ceremony and everyone got a great laugh out of it.”
Sheila and Earll
“We must say, at first when we were referred to Rev. Buster, we were not sure as we had heard so many things about what to look for in selecting a Minister for your wedding. But to our surprise and delight, he was as easy to work with and at all times he answered our questions and made suggestions. Great guy. We had wanted a spot that would be from the usual and he told us of a old covered bridge. Thank you so much Rev. Buster.”
Rebecca & Jerome
“We called Rev. Roper after our Minister bailed on us at the last minute. Not only was he able to accommodate us, but he did an excellent job. We could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony. He was so caring and humorous and made us feel as if he had known us forever. We are genuinely grateful to you, sir. We will endeavor to keep in touch as we promised from time to time to let you know how we are doing.”
Charles & Sabrina Woods
“Pastor Buster, thank you for the wonderful ceremony and for the vows you created for us. Jane and Charles had recommended you to us and we are so ever grateful for that. We not only found you a delight to work with, but felt that we had known you forever. Your humor and warmth were absolutely great. God Bless you and trust we will keep in touch as we begin our journey together and as we set out to volunteer in the missions field.”
Charlotte & James Long
“Rev. Buster, they told us that we would find you a delight to work with. They were not wrong. Throughout the entire time leading up to our ceremony, you were in constant touch with us always answering questions. We told you that we wanted to have our ceremony at the stroke of midnight on Friday and was it ever cold, but you were an absolute hoot. Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.”
Jane and Charles Snowden
“Rev. Roper, thank you for the time you spent outdoors today so that we could have our wedding on the day we wanted. We are avid outdoor people and this is the type of weather we enjoy hunting in. The vows you created for our ceremony were perfect. They were absolutely meaningful and seemed to be so much what we wanted to convey to our guests. We are so grateful that we decided to have you officiate over our wedding. Thank you.”
Jennifer and Charles Scott
“Pastor Buster, thank you so very much for the time that you spent helping us with our wedding. Thank you for the extra time you took when we were so lost as to how we wanted to proceed with our wedding and where we wanted to have it at. That is when you suggested several places that fit in our budget. The Chapel was quaint and was in a very rural area and that was what we wanted. Thank you again for a job well done and we will keep in touch. God Bless.”
Krista & Charles Downey
“Pastor Buster, you are one go-to guy. We were to be married today and James TRK. broke down on him in Cameron on the way to the wedding. I called you in a panic, all upset and crying. I told you what was happening and was just certain that my day was ruined. Pastor Buster, you calmly asked me to settle down and explain what the problem was. When I did so, you said, "I am about 15 miles south of Cameron. I will turn around and go back and get him." We can never thank you enough! God Bless.”
James & Catherine Knootz
“Pastor Buster, thank you for the great job you did on our wedding. We were so pleasantly surprised by your great sense of humor and the detail you gave to our ceremony. We were uneasy, as we had spoken with several other ministers and they were somewhat reluctant, as we are a mixed couple, but you never batted an eye. We were so pleased with all the time you spent with us and all of your help.”
Raylyn & William
“Thank you, Rev. Buster, for being so understanding today in the drizzle and all when we exchanged our vows on the greens at the golf course. Drizzle or not, you were funny and witty. This was my dream to be married today on my mother's birthday and on the greens where I met James. My Mom has gone on to be with God, but I just felt that she was there smiling over us on our special day. God bless you!”
Patty and James Shaw
“What a wonderful and heartfelt ceremony. Rev. Buster, those seem such small words to say for the kindness, time and care you put forth in making our wedding such a tremendous success. The vows your wife created for us was so right on about what we wanted to convey to our family and guests. The church that you picked out for us was so amazing and so full of history. We learned that it was the oldest church in Platte county.”
Delotes & Doyle King
“Rev. Buster, thank you again so very much. You are the best! Chris and I felt such a kinship to you after our first meeting and are so happy that we decided after meeting with several other Ministers that you were the right one for us. What a funny time and such a joyous occasion, one that will long be remembered for years to come. We will keep in touch and are certain that you will keep us in your prayers and thoughts.”
Elaine & Christopher
“Rev. Roper was very professional and so very helpful in the planning and selection of the perfect site for our wedding. From from start to finish Rev. Roper was never more than a phone call away. He was always so understanding in dealing with our questions and some we asked more than once. Thank you Rev. Roper for your help in making our day a time we shall remember. We will keep in touch as we promised.”
Reba and James Kline
“Hello Pastor, what a pleasant surprise we had when had contacted you on short notice to officiate over over wedding. We were to be married later this year but we had family who would be here in the area today and we so wanted them to be a part of the ceremony, that we decided to move it up. We had been given your name by Scott and Emily they said you were the best, funny, down to earth and a very hands on Pastor. They were so very right in their assessment of you. Thank you!”
Regan & Elizabeth
“Pastor Buster, thank you so much for the wonderful wedding ceremony. We were very pleased with the way you put our vows together for us and the way the entire ceremony was handled. The family members were all very pleased with the manner in which you interacted with them. Then to find out that you all had come from the same part of southeast Kansas. But not only were you very pleasant but gave us some very good words of advice to help us on our marriage. God Bless you.”
Ethan and Sabrina
“We would like to say thank you to Pastor Buster for such an outstanding job at our ceremony. We were both nervous and Pastor Buster was so kind. He made little side jokes to us as we asked him to so as to keep us from getting nervous. We had a wonderful ceremony. Even our guests commented afterwards to us about how at ease we seemed to be throughout the entire ceremony. He was such a delight to work with and we were so very grateful for his kindness. He was our first choice and we are so happy.”
Mr. and Mrs. Johathan Poole
“Rev. Buster did a first class job for us. The ceremony was so unique and personal. We were so pleased with the way that Rev. Buster conducted our ceremony and his warmth. We had spoken with several other ministers and could not seem to find one that we felt comfortable with and in talking to Rev. Buster, we were sure that he was who we wanted. His humor and care for us was above and beyond. He worked very closely with us and was understanding when I, (Latoya) was late.”
James and Latoya Toson
“Rev. Roper, we owe such a debt of thanks to you for the way you put together the vows for our wedding and the infinite care that you took to ensure that we were at ease and felt so comfortable in working with you preparing for our ceremony. We were referred to you by friends of ours who had utilized your services at their wedding and were pleased (James & Charla) asked us to say hello. We will be sure and keep in touch and thank you again Rev. for the great job and words of encouragement.”
Mr. & Mrs. Elijah Zakka
“We would like to say thank you to Rev. Buster. He was so easy to work with and even when my wife thought she was going to have trouble repeating her vows, as she is so terrified of speaking before a large number of people, Rev. Buster kept it light and kept her attention focused on myself and him. She was able to repeat her vows without a moment's hesitation. His service was outstanding and his fees were well within our budget. God Bless you, Sir.”
Nick & Heather Wells
“Rev. Buster, thank you for your time and all of the extra time you spent in helping us achieve the wedding that we were so wanting not only in the vows but in the manner in which you officiated over the entire ceremony even whispering to me so quietly when I got nervous and forgot my vows. Monique and I had talked to Rev. Buster about both our fears of speaking in public, but he very quietly whispered to me and the entire ceremony was so neat and very well done. Please accept our thanks again.”
John & Monique
“Rev. Buster, we would like to say thank you for the time and effort you put forth in making our wedding ceremony on the 4th of July a moment to remember. We wanted to be married on the 4th of July and many others wanted a price we simply could not afford. But not only were you able to accommodate us in our price range, but also knew of quiet and secluded spot where we could have just a few friends. The entire ceremony was so nice. We would highly recommend Rev. Roper. God Bless.”
Jim and Amber R.
“We were referred to Rev. Roper by a family member who had used his services before. Not only did he create a set of vows for us that were the absolute best, but did so at no extra cost. His fee was really very low for the type of commitment and effort he put into our ceremony. We were extremely pleased with the manner and how well he interacted with our desire to have an old fashioned style of dress for our ceremony. He looked the part so well. His service was the best!”
Mr. & Mrs. Nick Poynter
“Rev. Buster, not only were the vows that you created for us terrific but, sir, you as well did an outstanding job. We were both nervous and your manner and demeanor was so relaxed and you made each of us feel so at ease as you so aptly guided us through the ceremony. We shall be forever grateful and remember how special you made us feel at this very important time in our lives. Please keep in touch with us as well. God Bless you Rev. Buster.”
Mr. & Mrs. J. King
“Rev. Roper came to us highly recommended and we were very pleased with his handling of the actual ceremony as well as all the preparation that went into helping us create our vows. He did an outstanding job and even when it started to rain on us he never faltered. He even got a huge laugh out of our guests and relatives when he told the groom "if mama was not happy, then no one would be happy." His mom and mine all agreed!”
Mr. & Mrs. John Blue
“We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Roper for such a neat service and on such a short notice. We had called a number of ministers about doing our wedding and they were either out of our meager price range or would not perform the ceremony because neither one of us was overly religious. That should be our choice, not others to make. Rev. Roper was very understanding and made our ceremony so very enjoyable. Thank you!”
Mr & Mrs. Glenn Lowderman
“Rev. Buster was such a delight to work with. He was very capable and handled our ceremony with such ease what with my wife being hearing impaired. We wanted to say thank you so very much for the kindness and consideration you showed by being understanding and so helpful. We realize that is part of the duties of a Minister but we simply felt you were super. God Bless.”
Charles and Dawn Mc Graw
“We just want to thank Rev. Roper for our beautiful ceremony he held for us. He is an amazing man that made me as a bride feel comfortable and at ease. He made us laugh. He found the site for us to get married by the lake which was a beautiful place. He kept the mood light and he explained everything to where we understood and did not rush us at all during our ceremony. I would recommend him for any wedding. God bless you Rev. Roper always. See you again.”
Christina & Craig
“Rev. Roper, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for a job well done. We were very pleased with the way our wedding went and it was not with out a lot help from you. We were stumbling around not really getting anywhere until we asked you to recommend a wedding planner and that you did and she came through with flying colors as you indicated that she would. Please keep in touch with us as you promised.”
Charles & Marrisa King
“Just a note to say how much we appreciated the services of Rev. Buster. He was very hands on and was very helpful in the planning of our wedding ceremony. He knew of a great Wedding planner that would work with our budget. The entire ceremony was terrific and his fees were very reasonable. Please accept our thanks, Rev. Buster, for all your time and effort in order that our wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect.”
Mr. & Mrs. Dewayne Manning
“Rev. Buster, your attention and the manner in which you conducted our wedding ceremony was absolutely the best. The weather was a little cloudy but the atmosphere was great and everything went so smoothly. Even when I got so tongue tied that I could not remember my vows, you very quietly guided me through it and everyone laughed as they thought we had set it up in that manner. We would recommend you to anyone and your fee was very affordable.”
Mr. & Mrs. Antonio Ackland
“Rev. Roper, Just a short note to say thank you for your service and all of the work that you did for us in making our wedding day a wonderful event and such a precious time to remember. Not only did we have a beautiful day, but your words of encouragement were so heartfelt. We both so felt so moved by your words about marriage not being a game of who is right or wrong but instead a joint working relationship of love. Thank you!”
Mrs.Taimara Acklin
“What a wonderful day to be married on. We selected Rev. Buster to officiate over our wedding after meeting with him in a big rain storm. He showed up and was very understanding of the type of ceremony we wanted. We told him we would write our vows but with being a full time student I did not get that done. We emailed Rev. Buster and he said not to worry he would create a set of vows for us. Thank you, Rev. Buster.”
Russell and Christy Cleveland
“We would like to thank Rev. Roper for a job well done -- his service was excellent all the way through. From beginning until the ceremony he was very tuned in to our needs and questions. He always provided answers very quickly and was always so pleasant and understanding as time drew near and we so sure we had forgotten something. Tracy and I would highly recommend Rev. Buster to anyone seeking a great minister for their wedding. God Bless Rev. Buster.”
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Larwence
“Rev. Roper, we wanted to take short moment to say thank you again for agreeing to officiate over our wedding. Even when things went wrong, you were very understanding and were very understanding when some of our guests were late. The vows so fit what as to we were wanting to say to each other before our parents and witnesses. We will be telling all our friends about you. Have a blessed day.”
Robert & Naomi Long
“What a beautiful day it was for our ceremony on Easter morning. We had a sunrise service at Smithville Lake and it was absolutely beautiful. Rev. Buster was kind in getting up early with us to have our ceremony just as the sun was rising. The ceremony was so sweet and the Scriptures that he had picked out for us along with our vows made it a wonderful day. Rev. Buster, if I could give you a hug everyday I would. My husband and I both thank you.”
Mr. & Mrs. Charles Anderson
“Thank you is so small in comparison to the time that you spent working on our wedding and the successful outcome. Rev. Buster did an outstanding job when I was trying to marry my husband who was incarcerated. He went the extra mile in working with the officials at the DOC to help us realize our dreams and now shortly he will be released and we will be a complete family. God Bless you Rev. Buster for a job well done. We will keep in touch.”
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Underwood
“Just a short note to say thank you Rev. Buster for a job well done and for the kindness and concern you took in helping us prepare for the ceremony. We would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone and, In fact, we heard that some friends of ours have arranged for you to officiate over their ceremonies in the next few weeks.”
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Davis
“Rev. Buster, we could not have selected a Pastor more suited to our temperament to officiate at our wedding. Sir, throughout the entire time when I was being so difficult during the planning and at the rehearsal when I got annoyed, not because of you but others, as I am such a on time person and others were late, you kept it altogether for us. Thank you again so very much Rev. Roper and in our years ahead we will remember the advice that you gave us. God Bless.”
Damon and Briona
“Rev. Buster, thank you so very much for the extra time you spent in helping us achieve the ceremony we were so wanting. Throughout the entire process leading up to the day of our wedding, you were so understanding and took great pains to explain and answer all of the questions I had. Please keep our marriage in your prayers and thoughts.”
Mrs. Antonio Acklin
“Thank you so much Rev. Roper for helping Steven and I get married through Missouri Department of Corrections! It wasn't easy considering I live in the state of Arizona but thanks to you it happened. Now my husband will be home with me in September. I am a very blessed, happy and grateful lady. God bless you and I'm looking forward to taking you out to Texas Roadhouse in May! See you then.”
Jenny Underwood
“Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed working with your church for our wedding today. What beautiful day it turned out to be and the spot you chose for us with the covered bridge back drop was absolutely the best. Thank you Rev. Roper and all your staff there at your church for helping us realize what we had so wanted -- a wonderful day for our wedding and the tremendous job that you and your staff did for us. God Bless.”
Mr. & Mrs. John Oneal
“We called Rev. Buster last night about the possibility of having him officiate over our wedding today. He agreed and within the hour had put together a set of vows for us that were suited for us as if he had known our thoughts and hopes. We not only had a wonderful ceremony but what a beautiful day for it as well. We had our ceremony on Smithville Lake and the entire ceremony was so neat and so meaningful. Thank you Rev. Buster.”
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quincey
“We would like to tell anyone and everyone if you are planning a wedding, by all means look no further than Rev. Roper. His attention and sincerity was unsurpassed. We had looked for the what we felt the Minister who was so suited for us and when we found Rev. Roper we knew he was very forth with and helpful, not only with the preparation of our vows but in all aspects of our wedding. Thank you Rev. Roper for a job well done.”
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Anderson
“Rev. Roper was very thoughtful and very warm during the whole process of helping us prepare the vows we wanted for our ceremony. He was never more than a phone call away when we had questions or concerns. Thank you Rev. Roper for a job well done. God Bless you and we will be telling all our friends about you as well.”
Isiah and Syretta Barnes
“We contacted Rev. Roper early in the day as we wanted to be married that same day, and after talking with him we agreed he was who we wanted to perform our wedding. We gave him our names and the address later in the day after we had secured our marriage license. We agreed that he would meet us there at 7:00 P. M. and we were late. Then we told him we wanted to do it outside by car light and he took it all in stride and we had a terrific wedding!”
Paul and Kathryn Gobue
“We are so grateful for Rev. Buster. We contacted him asked him to officiate at our wedding all went well up until the last day. We agreed that we were going to come him for our ceremony and when we arrived we had left our license laying on the table at home. To our surprise Rev. Buster said, "well if it will make it any easier for you, I can follow you to your home and we can perform the ceremony there." We are grateful and thank you.”
Dave and June L.
“We wanted to say thank you to you and your staff for making our wedding such a success. We wanted an outside ceremony on the day when it was snowing, as we really enjoy the cold and the snow. We had contacted a number of Ministers and they were not interested in doing an outdoor ceremony while it was snowing. When we called you, you readily agreed and your staff at no extra cost helped us make it a tremendous success. Thank you again, Rev Buster.”
Mr. and Mrs. James Caldwell
“Rev. Roper, today was a snowy day and when we called you and said that we wanted to be married today in the midst of the snowstorm, you did not hesitate. What a wonderful ceremony it was -- snow and all! This took great dedication on your part to do that for us. Not only was it cold and blowing snow, but Rev. Buster, you did a marvelous job, and we were so taken by your humor. Please accept our thanks and eternal gratitude.”
Mr. & Mrs. Bobby King
“Rev. Buster, We want to say thank you for making our wedding day a time we will remember forever. What a neat surprise prior to your pronouncing us man and wife when you paused and asked if anyone had any objections? To my surprise my coworkers and soon-to-be mother in law had arranged with you, the entire staff of coworkers rose and said we do not object to you getting married but that you will be leaving us. What a neat surprise!”
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Orr
“Rev. Roper, thought provoking and funny - that would be you. Thank you so much for the personal vows that you created for us. They were so us and what we wished to convey to those in attendance at our wedding. This day was so complete with the nice weather that allowed us to be outside and to have you there to officiate over our wedding. We will think of you often and, as we promised, we will keep in touch and tell all we know about you. God Bless.”
Mrs. James Rogers
“Just a short note to say how grateful we felt today after you officiated over our ceremony. You scheduled us as a last minute plea when the minister that was supposed to marry us called and said that he was not going to be able to make it. So it was 24 hrs from when we called you until the wedding. You said that you could and would make time for us. What a tremendous ceremony it was!”
Mrs. Erika Hill
“Rev. Buster, what can I say but simply you made our wedding such a delight. When my fiance and I both forgot our vows, you so quietly reminded us and no one ever knew the difference. The entire ceremony was just as we had hoped it would be and even when my little nephew came running up and wanted me to pick him up, you went on and made it appear that this was all part of the ceremony and everyone laughed and thought that it was absolutely so neat.”
Mr. & Mrs. Billy Vanlue
“Rev. Buster, thank you so much for the wonderful sunrise ceremony today. We so wanted to tell you how much we appreciated you and your willingness to brave the cold so that we could have our ceremony as we had so planned. We can't begin to tell you how much we appreciated you and the ceremony and vows that you crafted for us. Please be assured we will be telling all our friends about you and please do keep in touch and stay warm. Much love.”
Robert and Julia McKensie
“Rev. Buster Roper, We feel that when we decided to have you officiate at our wedding we found the right person for the job and at the same time have found a friend. Truly sir, you went the extra step in ensuring that the wedding was a memorable event. The vows that you so neatly crafted for us were excellent and this was all a part of your normal service and your fee was very affordable. In the time leading up to our big day, you were with us each step of the way, no more than a phone call away.”
Jeremy and Molly
“We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you, Rev. Buster, for the outpouring of support and care that you took for our wedding. Then when we turned to you with our concerns for a small family that was not able to afford Christmas for their children, you and your Church came through and we are all so blessed for your help and kindness. We continue to tell people we know that are thinking of getting married to call you. Thank you!”
Robert and Hailey
“I contacted Rev. Roper about officiating our wedding and he was very through and detail oriented. He made our day a special day and he kept the secret that they had planned a little surprise during the ceremony. Just prior to his pronouncing us husband and wife he stopped and said that there was one item that had to be done prior to his pronouncing us husband and wife. They had gotten me an old fashioned rolling pin and the entire wedding party got a huge laugh out of it as did my husband.”
Mrs. P. McCabe
“Rev. Roper, not only were we correct in our judgement to ask you to officiate at our wedding, but in doing so we feel that we have gained a friend and a Pastor who is there for us. We told you that we would keep in contact with you and we will. We were so taken by the words of advice you gave us, "Marriage is not a game of who's right or wrong, but a working relationship where there has to be give and take on both sides.".”
Deann Williams
“Words are not enough to say thank you, Rev. Buster, for the memorable ceremony that we had on Monday. From start to finish you were there. The vows that your wife crafted for us were the absolute best. Through our entire getting prepared for the wedding you were never more than a phone call away. The extra mile you went to picking up marriage license, as we both worked, thus saving us time and money. To say "thank you" is the least we can do.”
Risa Baker
“WOW! Thank you Rev. Buster, for an outstanding and delightful wedding ceremony. When we forgot vows, he so quietly coached us and only those in the very near vicinity knew. Throughout the entire ceremony, he was very understanding and guided us and along. His fee was very reasonable and his officiating of our ceremony was the very best. We will recommend him to all our friends. Thank you, Rev. Buster, for making our marriage a memorable one.”
Mr. and Mrs. J. Adams
“I contacted Rev. Buster with an unusual request. My fiance was in the hospital and was suffering from terminal cancer. We had made plans to be married early next year and upon talking with our Pastor, he declined to do the ceremony. We felt that why should we not as we were to be wed in the spring. Rev. Buster made the whole thing an absolute joy. Rev. Buster, Thank you for such a wonderful ceremony. I am so thankful for all your support and help.”
Mrs. John Butler
“Reverend Roper and his wife are super people! We wanted a fun service and they put together exactly what we asked for. He believes that a wedding should be a joyous occasion and that shines through! The service was great and he handled our request to remember those who have passed on in a beautiful way. Thank you to the Ropers for your friendship and for being such a big part of our special day.”
Craig & Vicky
“I contacted Rev. Roper when I was searching for a minister to conduct our wedding. Rev. Buster was very thorough and asked key questions to determine what we wanted and crafted our vows for us then emailed them for our approval. They were right on as to what we wanted to say to our family and friends and to each other. Not only did he do a terrific job, but was very understanding with us when we were all late. We will be telling our friends to call him.”
Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Markson
“My husband contacted Rev. Roper on a very short notice and told him that a personal friend of ours recommended him. When asked if he could officiate at our ceremony, he asked what time and where? We told him 6 P.M. Topeka, KS at some friends' home. He said yes and asked a few questions as to what we were looking for in our vows. When he arrived on time the ceremony went off with out a hitch and was just as we wanted. Thank you, Rev. Roper.”
Mr. and Mrs. Gil Adams
“Rev. Roper was recommended to us by some friends that had attended a wedding that he had performed and was very impressed with him. We found him witty and very easy to work with. He guided us through the wording on our vows and the entire ceremony was just so neat! We will be telling everyone about him. Thank you, Rev. Buster, for making our day so complete.”
Lauren Gager
“We contacted Rev. Roper after speaking to several different ministers about our upcoming marriage. We explained to him that we had both previously been married and were turned down by others due to this. He spoke with us jointly and one on one. He was satisfied as any anyone can be that we would both work at this marriage. Thank you, Rev. Buster.”
Kelly Min
“We found Rev. Roper a delight to work with and he was a delightful and very charming individual. His humor was very rustic and reminded us so much of our grandparents. He was very efficient and made us feel that our wedding was of the utmost importance to him. In our dealings with him, he went to great lengths to help us feel at ease. Rev. Buster, we will be keeping in touch with you.”
Mrs. Risa Baker
“I wish to say thank you Rev. Roper. Throughout the whole process of my arranging through the Dept. of Corrections, never once did you shy away from the issues that I faced in getting married while incarcerated. Throughout the many months and phone calls from me concerning the marriage. The one person besides my God that was there was you and my wedding was a success and I am so blessed by your effort and by the Grace of God. God Bless you Rev. Roper.”
Mrs. Jack Anderson, Jr.
“Rev. Buster is fun and funny, easy to work with, and did whatever possible to make our wedding exactly like we wanted. The vows were put together especially for us and not what everyone else does. Thank you, Rev Roper, for doing our ceremony.”
Mykayla and Toby
“I would highly recommend Rev. Roper to do your ceremony. He's easy to talk with and does whatever possible to make your wedding "YOUR" day. He and his wife put together our vows and even when we threw him a "curve ball" at the last minute, he fell right in stride and went with it. He's the best! Thank you.”
Elfie and Gary
“Rev. Roper came through for us in grand style. He did a super job and went beyond what we asked from him. At the last minute, we decided that we wanted a sound system so that the guests could hear the ceremony. He not only provided it, but he did not charge any extra cost to us, and he had to set the sound system up and then take it down after the wedding was over. I felt ashamed, after the fact, that none of us offered to help him as it was extremely hot out last Saturday.”
Mrs. Robert Cassidy
“I was so happy that my husband and I decided to use the services of Rev. Buster for our ceremony. It was a bit hectic but he went on just as if it was all planned that way. We changed things up on him at the last minute and he carried on just as if it had all been preplanned and not sprung on him at the last minute. My husband I would recommend him to anyone seeking a laid back Minister to perform their wedding. Thank you again, Rev. Buster.”
L. Koger
“I wish to say thank you to Rev. Roper. He came through for us and our wedding ceremony was just what we had hoped for. Rev. Roper was so supportive and worked so hard to ensure that our ceremony went as we wanted even when I flubbed when repeating my vows. He made me feel so at ease. He covered up by making a joke on the spur of the moment, which made everyone laugh and they thought it was all part of the ceremony.”
Kevin and Christie Rogers
“I must say, not only did Rev. Roper make my day a tremendous success, he was there throughout the entire planning of our wedding offering helpful suggestions and a shoulder to lean on when the planning seemed overwhelming at times. I do not think I could have picked anyone more suited for such a wonderful occasion. He was there even when times got delayed as we were waiting on wedding guests to arrive. Thank you Rev. Roper for such a wonderful ceremony.”
Mrs. David Peel
“I recently contacted Rev. Roper at the suggestion of a friend. Halley told me that he had officiated over her wedding and was not only very professional but made her fiance feel as if they had known him for years. I would highly recommend his services and as he told us up front there were no hidden fees. Rev. Buster we both love you and are so grateful that God put you in our lives.”
Jamica King
“I contacted Rev. Roper on short notice and asked if he was available to perform our wedding at Penn Valley Park at 4:00 P.M. He said it would be no problem. My fiance was getting deployed the next day and we decided go ahead with the wedding rather than wait. Not only did he provide us with a wonderful ceremony, but he gave us the same consideration as if we had planned this wedding for months. Thank you again, Rev. Roper.”
Marissa Sharbutt
“Rev. Roper came through for us and provided the type of ceremony we were hoping for. Throughout the entire process, and leading up our wedding, he was very hands on keeping in touch. He was always there when we had a question. When I goofed up on the vows when asked to repeat after Rev. Roper, because I was nervous, he very quietly reassured me. Our wedding was a tremendous success. Thank you again for all your kindness, time, and attention you gave to our ceremony.”
Carisa Tucker
“Thank you for doing our ceremony. It was wonderful. We loved it and it was what we wanted. Thank you so much again for sharing a special day with us.”
Hollee Starnes
“I contacted Rev. Buster early on in hopes that he would be able to perform my wedding. I was having difficulty as my fiance was incarcerated and the D.O.C. required a separate 3 hour premarital counseling prior to setting a date for the ceremony. I found Rev. Buster and he was a delight to work with and gave our wedding the same individual attention that one would expect from a minister performing a wedding outside.”
Jessi Starnes
“I contacted Rev. Roper a month prior to my wedding date and then changed it several times as I was not able to get the cooperation from those that I wanted to be there. Through the entire process Rev. Roper was very understanding. He offered suggestions for alternative places to have my wedding. But through it all, Rev. Roper was a shoulder that I could lean on and my wedding turned out to be very wonderful event. Thanks so much Rev. Roper.”
Rebecca
“Thank you to this site for finding me the best reverend to do our wedding. Not only was Rev. Roper an awesome person but his wife is an absolute pleasure. He contacted us almost immediately and we talked over the phone and set up a meeting to plan our ceremony. He was fun and very efficient. We had a beautiful ceremony that was customized to fit our wants and the delivery of the words were perfect to a tee. I have to say on a side note the fee that was charged was way below the quality of the work. We wanted a Christian wedding and that is what we had. We thank you Rev. Roper for being a blessed part of our happy day. I would recommend his services to anyone wanting a beautiful, friendly service. Much love.”
Kathy Lane
“I called Rev. Roper like two weeks prior to our wedding as the minister we had selected bailed out on us at the last minute. I had a friend who knew of Rev. Roper and suggested that I call him. I did and he not only was he able to accommodate us but was very pleasant and worked very diligently to ensure that our wedding went smoothly. And it was, if possible, even more memorable as Rev. Roper was an absolute hoot and fun to work with. My husband John and I would recommend him to anyone without a moment's hesitation. Thanks again to him for a terrific job and for being so understanding when we were so stressed due to the minister we had selected dumping us on such short notice.”

“We contacted Rev. Buster on short notice, about a week before we wanted to get married. He was great. He took the time to give us some options concerning our vows. He's very thorough, kind, fun and made us all feel comfortable.”

“Rev. Buster is easy to work with and makes everyone feel comfortable. He worked very closely with us to be sure he understood the type of ceremony we wanted. This wedding was in Krug Park and we ran all over the place to find the perfect place. Rev. Buster was right there with us.”

“Buster prformed our wedding on August 19, 2012. He was concerned about making certain we had the ceremony we wanted and gave us several options to choose from. Our concern was the heat because the ceremony was held outside, so we asked that it be short. Buster performed it in record time, but maintained the sentiment and beauty we hoped for. Thank you, Buster!”

“Rev. Buster was an absolute delight to work with he went beyond the call of duty he followed through on each deatil and kept me informed through the entire process prior to my wedding day. Picked up our marriage License and went over our the vows with us to help us say what my fiance wanted to say to all that were in attendence for our wedding. Not only did he accomplish that but took the time to be available each time I called with a question and his fees were low actually for the quality of service and personal attention we received.”

“Rev. Buster came to our home and took the time to understand what we were wanting in the way of a wedding ceremony. He was even understanding when at the last minute things got behind and he had to wait on us to finish. His fee was very reasonable and he really made us feel special. Thank you.”
